Jose brings 26 years of expertise in Plant Pathology, IPM, and Mycology, with a proven record of leading science-based pest management programs in ornamentals, tropical fruit, and cannabis. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Botany with a specialization in Mycology and has authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in national and international journals.
He has managed large-scale IPM programs across 13 states. His background also includes different R&D projects and providing diagnostic services as Scientific Manager at the University of Florida’s Plant Diagnostic Clinic (TREC). These experiences have equipped him with a strong foundation in both applied research and operational program management.

Jose provides technical support and guidance on IPM-related issues, including pest identification, monitoring, and control.
